All very nice-

You guys could do a really cool screen saver based upon your subject matter.

Screen savers are not just toys for us graphics fanatics. They help us sell the idea of BOINC to co-workers in our offices who stroll by our desks when they should be working. I got two others in my office because of screen savers. One guy was attracted by WCG's Help Conquer Cancer, the other by Einstein@home.

You guys should be able to do something really cool.

I was just thinking the same thing. Even if the Screen Saver was a generic one like LHC@home it would be better than nothing.

Just passed 10,000 total credit. MW@h is my 4th BOINC project to pass this milestone.

Well, I guess it's kinda time for a favicon vote.
All MilkyWayers, please vote now for your favorite favicon.
Here are all the suggestions from this thread:

Cori's ones:

Ice's ones:

Enter the number of your favorite icon, every vote counts! ;-)

I myself decide for #9!

2. is very similar to Opera's default icon.
9. and 10. are quite similar to the orbit@home icon.

I vote for 6.

I'll add my vote to this.

I have read elsewhere that the project staff are working on an updated applicaton. I hope that a graphics display will not be too far off.

5) Message boards : Number crunching : Clearing results from database quickly? (Message 4220)

I'd like to see the results being available for more than a few minutes too, like many here, i run several projects and not being able to analyse the results to make the best use of my systems by assigning them to more appropriate projects is a bit of a headache at the moment.......no point having machines crunching when they'll return the work after the deadline is up!!
Surely there's a way to archive the results for more than a few minutes.

BoincView and BoincLogX can both log results.

Stats sites like BOINCstats can also give you data about your recent results about 24 hr after they were returned.
