So if I may be so bold as to ask, what exactly is the new credit 'scheme'?
What will the net reduction- I assume it's going to be a reduction ;)- be?

Do I reinstall the entire BOINC app on the RAMdisk or just certain files?
I have the RAMdisk working on a 4GB thumb drive with Windows TEMP and TMP files.

Looks like we are heading back to the ways of old with overloaded server... more and more often failing to connect for more work and rigs sitting idle... any plans to upgrade the system?

26) Message boards : Number crunching : Why No Work? (Message 31301)

I am beginning to wonder if perhaps they are off on some distant scientific retreat -- perhaps a cruise to Hawaii.....

... with the donation money ;)

Isn't that why you donated? For them to take a vacation?

Once again I failed to read the fine print...

with boinc 6.10.4 and yours 0.20 gpu, it crunches only 1 wu at the same time, is it ok ? before it was 3 wus at the same time...

Me too with 6.10.3- 1 WU at a time on single 4870 and 2 WU's at a time on double 4870 rigs... tried n2 but still 1 WU at a time... XP Home

I am continuing to get the errors, but very few of them and they do crash out almost immediately.

I just started MW GPU running on two rigs- Q6600, XP Home- and am getting a fair number of these errors on both rigs...

Yep , me too- 181.20 with BOINC 6.5.0 = zero problems with a dual GTX 260 rig @ GPUgrid 24/7 for many months... XP Home, Q6600 @ 3.0 ... a second identical rig runs great but shut down for summer to give the A/C a break ;)

Any update on the CUDA project. I've checked both MW websites and have seen nothing since the update in June 11.

How DARE you ask such a question! ;)
36) Message boards : Number crunching : All GPU tasks run High Priority? (Message 25936)
Posted 18 Jun 2009 by JAMC
Post:
Why do most tasks (22/24 at the moment) run High Priority (0.10 CPU)- default 0.19f (3) tasks shown as actually progressing at one time- or does it even matter? All 24 are shown as running at the same time.
At the moment there are no CPU projects attached to this quad w/ 4870.

I am getting the 0.19f GPU lock up as well on 2 different pc's this am. MW GPU app locks up but the SETI AP CPU keeps going without problems. Stop BOINC and start BOINC again gets the GPU app going again. I am also getting High Priority running on GPU WU's as well.

39) Message boards : Number crunching : So what's the project status?? (Message 16824)
Posted 25 Mar 2009 by JAMC
Post:
Well I guess if enough people leave for lack of work the demand will drop enough to meet the supply curve and all will be right with the world. The project is getting all the work it can generate processed and very quickly so I guess they can call it a roaring success, but I have switched a 4870 over to F@H so at least it is doing something... when the little brown truck shows up with a package I am configuring a dual 4870 machine and it may follow the first to F@H if there continues to be no work for it...but hey, more work available for everyone else :)

The lights are on, but is there anybody home??
Offers of equipment and even money to help improve the project haven't enticed any response ... there are flashes of new work availability but still a whole lot of 'got 0 new tasks' and machines with no WU's to crunch.
Any developments to report?
Thanks
