I have been doing more than 100%...literally: the progress on de_separation_82_ls_fix_1_32783_129723563 shows 123.544% and it is still running. Here's a screenshot I took just before I started writing this post: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0By6CzZzvGYZ5MmYxMjgxZDQtNDgzMS00ODg4LTkwNzUtYzJiOTRmNjE0OWY4&hl=en&authkey=CI3N4_MG |

I have been doing more than 100%...literally: the progress on de_separation_82_ls_fix_1_32783_129723563 shows 123.544% and it is still running. Here's a screenshot I took just before I started writing this post:Some giant workunits were sent out which overflowed the progress calculation. The units were 1500 * 3000 * 3500 = 15750000000 > (2^32 -1 = 4294967295). So the progress is calculated instead of counting steps progress out of the actual total steps, it calculates out of what you get after the overflow, 2865098112. All of the steps actually happen since the actual integral is done one dimension at a time, so it appears to cycle around a few times reaching over 100%. |

Good to know. I was about to dump those workunits figuring something was corrupt. Thanks. |

Thank you for posting this question and answer. Tonight I started noticing a workunit going over 100%. I was about to drop the workunit but I thought I had better check the forum first. Glad I did. Is this happening to enough users that it would warrant a comment on the main project page, so people don't dump good units? Thanks again. |

Well---might want to check what Matt posted earlier...think it covers it :) |
