To Matthew Newby and others in the milkyway staff. The complain regarding the Computer 27701 and others that are able to constantly download thousands of workunits but not deliver any results is that they are.... 1. Misusing their own recourses. 2. Misusing YOUR recourses. As mikey pointed out here A problem like this should be able to handle automatically server side i.e. the computer should get fewer and fewer workunits all the way down to 1 until he starts to deliver error free results back to you and in time. In other words. This problem should not exist at all. |

I've disabled the user account associated with host 27701. It shouldn't be able to download new tasks. Thanks for keeping an eye out for unusual activity - I apologise for taking time to address this issue. |

I've disabled the user account associated with host 27701. It shouldn't be able to download new tasks. You also might want to check why the daily qouta of such hosts is not being decreased with each error they produce. All hosts from my previous post are still able to get 10000 tasks per day, although some of them might have trashed over a million of WUs by now. |
