I've started some new separation runs: de_separation_17_sSgr_1 de_separation_18_sSgr_1 de_separation_19_sSgr_1 de_separation_20_sSgr_1 ps_separation_17_sSgr_1 ps_separation_18_sSgr_1 ps_separation_19_sSgr_1 ps_separation_20_sSgr_1 These are continuing the search for the secondary streams in the Northern Galactic Cap. Let me know if you see anything strange with them! [Aside: I should have the new science page up in a day or two!] -Matthew N. |

No errors as of yet here. But you might want to adjust the credit given because these are taking longer for completion. Regards John G |

Both the de17 and 18's along with the ps 17 and 18's are taking up to 40 sec. more time to complete. Regards John G |

No errors as of yet here. But you might want to adjust the credit given because these are taking longer for completion. We get more credits for them, up to 320,63 and according to my calculation that's pretty much exactly the same credit/time ratio as for the WUs we had until now, my HD3850 (or actually half of it) still needs 5.07 seconds to earn 1 credit. |

The credit should be proportional to the length of the work unit - the credit is determined by the code based on the number of floating-point operations that are required to complete the job. This formula has has worked perfectly in the past, so I suspect that these new jobs are rewarding the correct credit. |

I'm having issues on one of my systems, and I'm not sure why. My faster system (PMason_XPS630i) seems to be having issues with all of the new files. The current set are all: ps_separation_17_sSgr_1_1358941502_132204xx_0 They all have a Computation Error between 1:21 - 1:29 into working on the files. Interestingly, my older system (PMason_XPS600) runs them just fine. Ah, I think I just saw what was going on...my newer system is attempting to do them using Milkyway@Home 1.02 (opencl_nvidia), whereas my older system "Your GPU lacks double precision extension" - so, looks like CPU is running the files (using Milkyway@Home 1.0) vs. GPU. Recommendations? Thanks! Paul |

@Tylendol: the errors occur not only on GPU, but also on CPU and the error messages are all pretty much the same. Have you tried turning it off and on again? |

@Link Thanks for the suggestion. I actually thought I would start fresh and rebooted. Only in the PC World does that ever seem to correct things. Oddly, it did - it's working fine now, go figure. Thanks! Paul |
