My "dedicated" Milkyway@Home computers continue to crunch AMD GPU work units, but I have since moved their cpu's over to Cosmology@Home and it's proving to be a smart decision. :)

I'm still not receiving any MilkyWay work units for the CPU on my Windows XP system (doesn't have a GPU). I've tried resetting, removing, and re-installing the MilkyWay@home project using BOINC manager several times. I keep manually requesting new work, but to no avail. Nothing. It's been that way for several days now. My other BOINC projects continue to run and upload/download just fine on my XP system. MilkyWay is the only one that is currently broken.

My computers running Windows XP and 7 None of them receive tasks from Milkyway @ home. This has been going on for some days. SETI @ home is now running at full time on all my computers, as well as the CPU GPU.

I too, am having this problem with one of my 3 machines. I'm running BOINC 7.1.10 on all of the machines and they are all virtually the same (NVIDIA GPUs, AMD CPU's, at least 8GB of RAM, Linux Mint 15, etc.)

On the problem machine (ID: 518536), I have to keep hitting "update" to get a new bunch of WU's and then it only sends me 5-7 WU's so within an hour, I'm hitting "update again.

I tried doing a reset but it didn't make any difference.

Regards,
Steve

The problem with Cosmology is that it doesn't have any GPU WU's. If that's of interest to you, you might try Einstein@home.

No new CPU (Windows 32-bit) work units received since June 10. Problem supposedly fixed on June 13, but apparently not! What is the status of fix?

Machines are keeping busy with other BOINC projects.

Well,I guess I got my wish. I just received, on June 17 2:35 P.M. CDT,
a job that says it will take 1360 hours on an Intel I5-3570 under Windows 8 64-bit (different machine), and is due on June 29!

1360 hours is ~57 days!!!

Soemone's scheduling algorithm needs an attitude adjustment!

Thanks for reading.

We're talking about the CPU MW Separation tasks in this thread, not nBody.

No CPU work at this end of the world for my wee core duo.

From the recent posts on this thread it looks like some CPU work has been released

Has anyone received CPU wu's in the last week? All I am offered is GPU wu's which I cannot handle.

John

You may have to wait a bit to get some. With all the hosts that were cut off from MW_Sep recently they may have some trouble keeping up with demand in the short term.
