Radeon VII 8x WU average 11 seconds each, sadly sits idle waiting for Wu's for too long.... R9 280x - HD 7970 average 42 seconds. D.C. |

AMD Pro Duo (Fiji) You can improve that by running 4 tasks concurrently. More than 4 tasks the throughput drops on my s9100 I looked over here to compare but they only list one workstation card. |

good call! running 2WU for each gpu for a total of 4WU at about 130 seconds for all 4 to finish. Gpu1 temps hit 50 degrees celsius and gpu2 temps hit 53 degrees celsius. |

Radeon VII 8x WU average 11 seconds each, sadly sits idle waiting for Wu's for too long.... Joseph Stateson has a work around for the idle time. I was using it but every time I update BOINC, I have to go through Joseph's steps to apply the fix he has. |

From what I've been reading this project benefits more from AMD cards than nVidia cards. Is this due to the better double precision abilities of AMD? Life's short; make fun of it! |

Mostly , Yes , unless you can afford Nvidia Titan V etc , if you want to know what works best on Milkyway , take a look at the top hosts pages https://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/top_hosts.php You can find this in the "computing" tab/button under the project graphic at the top of most website pages. |

MY PC STATS YOUTUBE LINKS // ENJOY5950x is what I will be adding next, probably with 2 GPUs, perhaps two AMD FirePro W8100. What motherboard are you using? |

just a simple rev1.0 Gigabyte Aorus Elite , micro board , i have a custom 5 copper radiator setup with 2two of them passive all large rad brand's really helps with the temps . 128gb ram cas16 , with the 5950x i cant seem to hit the 4.9ghz advertised at load so i have overclocked all cores to 4.5 only crashes maybe 1once every 48hours |

Only once every 48hrs? That's quite a lot when you run DC, it hardly crash at all. Also an unstable machine could send more errored WUs. I use OCCT to stability test an o/ced CPU for 48hrs, then see if it can run Folding@H for 48 hrs (error free!), if it can it's good to go. That said, for the 1st time since 1998, I haven't bothered to o/c my current CPU! There's so little to be had. Btw Isn't the 4.9 GHz for just one core?
