Recently, my number crunching just randomely stops unless I turn on "Snooze" and then turn it off again. Running a 6 Core AMD chip with 100% of the cores enabled, an AMD RX 570 GPU. Is there something in my preferences I should adjust? |

Recently, my number crunching just randomely stops unless I turn on "Snooze" and then turn it off again. I would drop the 100% to 99% so it leaves a cpu core free for the gpu, surfing, showing stuff on the screen etc |

I dropped it to 95% and that appears to have fixed that problem. Now my completed tasks are not being uploaded and no new tasks being downloaded. LOL |

LOL That is a result of the Server troubles they are having and you are not alone in having those problems, they got the new drive and the Server is building it from the Raid stuff so it can be used properly and that will take some time. |

I appear to have spoken too soon. My tasks labeled "Running (5 CPUs)" are still stopping without warning. (I am reporting and getting new tasks.) I can restart it by turning "Snooze" on and off. Also running GPU task and those do just fine, never pausing. |

I still don't know what kind of pc or cpu you have, other than "AMD 6 core" but I would guess that something else you are doing is causing the problems and maybe you need to pause your crunching while it is doing it's thing. I also don't know how much ram you have in the machine, you could be overwhelming it with 5 tasks running at one time. |

OK. Here's my system: HP HPE 470f Tower AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, 6 cores, 12 GB Memory GPU: AMD Radeon RX580 8 GB Windows 10 up to date Power: Never sleep Monitors: Never Sleep (running 2 monitors) BOINC Settings: Computing: UAM 95% Time: UAM 75% Disk: UNM 100GB Memory: UNM 80% Page Swap: 50% Getting single CPU tasks, (5 CPU) tasks and CPU + GPU tasks. The 5 CPU tasks just stop every few hours. If single CPU tasks are suspended at that time, they do not restart. the GPU tasks are not affected. If I snooze BOINC then unsnooze, the 5 CPU task restarts. I don't see a pattern in other activities that might cause this. |

OK. Here's my system: I don't see a problem with your settings but did read here https://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/forum_thread.php?id=4865 that others are experiencing the same or at least similar problems |
