I'm rebuilding an old dual processor Z800 workstation which has a ton of RAM (192GB) and am thinking of running Boinc with it—among other things. Are there any projects which require a huge amount of ram to run? I've heard that ATLAS LHC tasks would likely be good, but am not sure if there's anything else. |

GPUGRID PythonGPU tasks will use about 10 GB of system ram per task, as well as 3-4GB GPU VRAM, and uses several (up to 32) CPU cores also. for each running task. if you have enough VRAM you can run several per GPU. |

The Yoyo ECM P2 tasks take a little over 7gb for each task. Th Einstein O3 cpu tasks take about 8gb for each task. |

Amicable numbers uses around 8Gb per task (for GPUs) NFS@Home large tasks use up to 1.25Gb per task as well. |
