Well... Depends if listening out for aliens is your thing, or if you get frozen out of SETI ;) The last part of which I've never tried to hide or deny, or give another toss about... , just in case anyone was wondering... |

Well... I think you are very right Logan. I am not a scientist and I don't have a scientific background or capability. But it strikes me that via BOINC is a way I can do somthing for science which makes use of my interest in computers, instead of me taking up all my time playing computer games and compiling on-line photo sites ;) |

OK -- this is getting rather tedious. I think I will for now approach the problem from the client side by suspending Milkyway processing, and setting it up for 'no new work'. Assuming we don't encounter a third run of completed workunit kill off, I'll then 'unsuspend' the project to let existing work process and clean the queues. Then, after a couple of days of normal operations, I'll let new work flow into the workstations for processing. |

Gets a bit tedious seeing the exact same post in multiple threads as well. A lot of us are frustrated, but I bet Travis, Dave and the team are more frustrated than us. After all, they ahve more than a few credits at stake! |

Still, color me happy. I don't like the problems any more than anyone else, I don't like the loss of earnings, or the loss of science ... BUT, we have been kept in the loop as far as the staff can keep us informed. And THAT is what *I* like ... all projects have problems, some worse than others, some more often than others, but, how many projects keep us as informed as to what they see, what they are trying, and so on ... color me happy ... And to Travis and all on the project ... thank you ... Bravo Zulu ... |

Well... working for now atleast...(waiting)... Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Don't complain very often about much. You can color me happy with the project here as well. Couple of minor disagreements on credits, but that's small in comparison to the troubles Dave and Travis have been haivng lately. *Travis and Dave* Thanks for the lines of communication when its possible letting us know what is happening and what you are trying to do to resolve it. Appreciate all your hard work and hope it gets trouble free again soon so you both get some well deserved rest. (maybe even a bit of snow boarding too) |
