I keep seeing a lot of errors on the website using opera on the mac. Everything works as it should but I see this at the top of every page:

I joined this project a few days ago, & I have been experiencing similar issues ever since I joined:

Running: Win XP
Browsers: IE, SlimBrowser, FireFox, Opera -- same issue in all

I have experienced very similar, if not identical, errors listed here as well as on other threads:

***EDIT...I'm Not trying to Hijack the other threads, it's just way more efficient & effective to Post Once w/ All Issues I am experiencing, instead of posting a little bit, multiple times in multiple threads, especially since all these issues appear to be related to this website/servers, which is why I Posted it all under this thread "Website problem?"...EDIT***

"Project Preferences" (I have also selected NO & I have only Received 1 WU~~more details below)

"Profile error message" (although I have been able to create my profile, I still get errors when editing info~~more details below)

"Team problems?" (although I have been able to add my team, I still get errors when editing info~~more details below)

"Avatar not showing up" (although this is my 1st post, so I'm not sure yet about in the message boards ***EDIT...Now that I posted it, yup, My Avatar not showing in message boards...EDIT***, it won't show when I try to view my profile, & I still get errors when editing info)


The Errors have been occurring w/ adding/changing my profile info, team info, & settings...as well as just viewing my profile info, team info, & settings...

...(The "More Info Below")...

...L8R in day from when I got that 1 WU, I had an unrelated issue w/ BOINC:
I had to uninstall BOINC,
Delete All Residual BOINC Files in /Program Files/BOINC (so now there is no more record of that 1 WU),
Re-Install BOINC,
Reattach all Projects...

...keep in mind that all this happened a day or two ago...

...this is the Only BOINC Project that has NOT Gotten any WU's NOR has it Updated the Changes to the Names I made in My Profile & Team Profile (the name changes do however show on the website...just NOT in the BOINC Manager...which as previously stated works just fine for my other projects)

***EDIT...All My other BOINC Projects are working Perfectly, I've seen Other Posts w/ similar Issues, w/ no solutions mentioned, so Logically the issue is w/ this website/servers...EDIT***

So What's Going On? & How Do We Get This Taken Care Of?

Since the Previous Post & Edits to it, I have:
Detached from Project milkyway@home,
Delete All Residual milkyway@home Files in /Program Files/BOINC,
Reattached to Project milkyway@home...

I now see in the messages that "Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance" ...hopefully when it comes back up all will be well...

P.S.
I was going to put this as another edit to my previous post, however, I am unable to edit my previous post...(hopefully that has something to do w/ the maintenance)...

...well it looks like the Project & Servers are back up...& I am still not getting any work...I even changed my Preferences to "Yes" for Test Apps...
***EDIT...I Also Suspended All my Other BOINC Projects to see if that would help, but to no avail...
BTW, pref settings do have me connected all the time w/ no extra work queue...

my name & team changes finally updated to the BOINC Manager as well

Unless you're a moderator or project administrator, you have one hour of time to edit previous posts. Any second more and you can only start a new post. Normal behaviour on BOINC boards.

As for the work, we all don't get work at this moment. Milkyway has problems on that front since they introduced new binaries. Travis is working on it. No need to reset or detach/reattach or reinstall BOINC. Eventually it will pick up work when it can. (Keep an eye on the news for updates on that matter).

Lastly, Milkyway is a project in Alpha status. You can't expect everything to work outright. Reporting all errors you find is good though. :-)

Milkyway is a project in Alpha status. You can't expect everything to work outright. Reporting all errors you find is good though. :-)

That is exactly why I decided to:
(1)try more troubleshooting (to see where issue might have been, if it might have been on my end somehow, I wouldn't want to say that it was on your end for sure)
(2)post up what was going on w/ the errors...

...as per previous posts, I did initially get a WU right off the bat, but I never got a chance to crunch it...so I've been really wanting to do some work since I was already given some & wasn't able to keep the WU on my PC & In BOINC...

Work is flowing again, so if you update Milkyway through BOINC Manager, you should now get work to crunch. If not, please post any error messages you get.

I was just about to ask, are you behind a proxy or otherwise caching pages?
You can try to get the newest pages by forcing the browser to load the newest ones by pressing CTRL+F5 (Mozilla, Netscape, probably Opera as well) or Shift+F5 (IE).

...I know...I primarily use FF, & I think that I didn't actually set that page to auto-refresh, but I thought I did, & I didn't see the new news...oops...

as a web master i find it very disconcerting to see err on web pages i rely think they need to do a over hall on the site and get the php code right AND NO IM NOT VOLUNTEERING as i have all the work i need at the moment lol plus i'm old school html

don't worry iv had the same message for the last 2 days i got to the stage where iv had to look at other projects just to fill in but i know it is some what disconcerting to say the least it seems that no one knows what is going on with the wu it would be nice for some ont to let us know
